Familia y Amigos!
How are you all? Hopefully doing well. This was a pretty cool week. We got things all figured out and have a list of people who used to be taught by missionaries and just a bunch of people for us to meet and start teaching. So we started down the list. By doing that, we've met some really awesome and willing people.
Also, we had some miracles. One day I was feeling pretty down and then right before we were going to head to our dinner appointment, a lady from the same ward called and said that she needed a translator. She had already talked to our dinner and we could be late. So we went to the hospital and helped translate for this Hispanic man. The member who called us had prayed that morning to have a missionary experience and then saw this man walking on the side of the road. She picked him up and took him to his doctor appointment. Then called us to translate. The appointment went well, then he came with us to our dinner appointment. THAT was fun. Lots of translating happened and getting to know each other. Hna. Poblete made me translate some of the time... Wheeeew. Good practice, right? Anyways, we shared a message and we're starting to teach him! So coooool. And then later that night, we had an appointment with a man who we had met last week. He was technically a member of the church, but hadn't gone in a long time. So we went and met his family. His wife was a little hesitant, but we were able to explain things to her and she opened up. She said she wanted to give it a chance and that she would start reading the Book of Mormon. Ummm, OK! He had explained some things to her and she was interested in learning more. It was perfect timing for us to step in and explain some of her questions more in-depth. It was an amazing night and just when I needed the uplift. It was a testimony to me of Heavenly Father's love and how aware he is of us! MIRACLE!
That's what I experienced and learned more about this week. Heavenly Father's awareness of us. He has a plan for us. He uses our personalities and where we're at in life to help and lift others that we meet. And the same is for us. Those that we come in contact with are there to help us or teach us something. Or just give us experience that He wants us to experience. He knows what we're going through and what experiences we need to prepare us for the future. That's pretty cooool.
Love you all and hope you're doing well!
Con amor,
Hermanita Shirley
